Heather McCarter is a social worker who has worked with autistic children and adults since 2018. She currently works at the UNC TEACCH Program in Wilmington as an Autism Specialist and is the clinical consultant and Southeastern liaison of BFAST. In this role, she hopes to support and empower Black families as advocates for their children. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, listening to live music, reading, traveling, and being outside.
