She also enjoys extending the team’s capacity for collective impact partnerships engagement. A native of Western New York state, Sue earned a Bachelor’s in Sociology from Stony Brook (SUNY) University, a Master’s in Sociology from UNC Chapel Hill, and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University. She’s worked in many program administration and resource development roles including earlier career service with UNC CH’s Office of Human Resources and with nonprofit service providers focused on education, human services, and public health. Sue is a long-time resident of rural central NC with her husband and three young adult children, and she is especially passionate about applying her lived experience to support research and advocacy to serve individuals and families in rural areas.
