Shannon LaPoint, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral research fellow at Chapel Hill TEACCH. She received her B.S in Psychology from Union College. After working at a residential home for autistic children, she received her M.A in Applied Developmental and Educational Psychology and Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction from Boston College. Her research interests include the transition from high school to adulthood for autistic youth and experiences of autistic adults in postsecondary education and employment contexts. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and spending time with her family.
