After serving as a psychology postdoctoral fellow at Chapel Hill TEACCH, Sara Matherly started as a psychologist with Raleigh TEACCH in the Fall of 2020. After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.S in Psychology, working for Greensboro TEACCH’s Supported Employment Program, and supporting research projects at the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute at UNC-CH, she went on to complete her Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of South Carolina (USC). Sara then received a joint appointment internship at USC Pediatrics Child Development and Behavioral Health Clinic and in Richland Two School District in Columbia, South Carolina. Sara specializes in the identification of autism spectrum disorders and has extensive training in interventions tailored for children with autism spectrum disorders. She has an interest in early childhood as well as supporting families in the coordination of care and service delivery across the lifespan.
