spring forward clock

Daylight Saving Time always begins on the second Sunday in March in most areas of the United States.

We will “spring forward” one hour on Sunday, March 9, 2025.

This means that at 2 a.m. the time will automatically change to become 3 a.m.

To help your body adjust to daylight saving time in advance, you can try gradually shifting your sleep schedule earlier, limiting screen time, and avoiding caffeine too close to bedtime.

Your circadian rhythms, or the patterns that your body follows based on a 24-hour day, become disrupted when the time changes. It is normal for your body to need a few days to adjust!

Helpful Hints

  • Most electronic devices, like cell phones and laptops, automatically update to show the new and correct time.
  • You will need to change the time on any manual clocks yourself.
  • Check watches, alarm clocks, car clocks, kitchen appliances, etc.

In times of uncertainty, everyone benefits from predictability!
