TEACCH for Toddlers Activity Photo Library
TEACCH for Toddlers is a collaborative parent coaching early intervention model designed to help families better understand and engage with their toddlers on the autism spectrum. TEACCH for Toddlers is based on Family Implemented TEACCH for Toddlers (FITT) which was designed as a naturalistic developmental behavioral intervention combining TEACCH strategies with developmental and naturalistic strategies and parent coaching. The intervention was studied as part of a research project examining the impact of FITT on toddler outcomes, including developmental and adaptive skills, as well as the impact on family outcomes, such as parent stress and well-being. TEACCH for Toddlers is based on the TEACCH model and uses Structured TEACCHing strategies to facilitate toddlers’ receptive and expressive communication, social communication, and play skills.
As a part of the original research model, a photo library was created to provide examples of activities and visuals that FITT interventionists and parents created for their toddlers. All the original content is included in the library.
