Sara Matherly specializes in the identification of autism spectrum disorders and has extensive training in interventions tailored for children with autism spectrum disorders. She also has specialized training in behavioral approaches to promote development, particularly in early childhood. Sara has joined the TEACCH for Toddlers (TFT) program, blending her knowledge of Structured TEACCHing with naturalistic developmental behavioral intervention strategies. She is a member of the Right from the Start Strategic Planning Committee which works to expand detection and evidence-based early intervention practices for children and families with autism in our home communities. Sara also provides telehealth consultative services for mental health providers across the state of North Carolina through the UNC Project ECHO Autism program. She has an interest in early childhood as well as supporting families in coordination of care and service delivery across the lifespan and across agencies.
