What is the purpose? To give parents the opportunity to reflect on their journey as a parent of a child with autism, and spend time with other parents in a relaxing, casual, and accepting atmosphere.
Who should attend? The retreat is meant for couples, and any kind of couple is welcome. Married couples, partners, parent of a child on the spectrum and a supportive relative or friend.
What happens there? Parents will have opportunities for relaxation, discussion, networking, making new friends, and learning from other parents. This is not a conference, it is a retreat. There are no “required” sessions. There will be facilitated discussions and activities, but this is meant to be a place to share experiences, eat good food, and relax.
What is the cost? It costs $450.00 for a couple to attend this retreat. Couples will be expected to invest a non-fundable $50.00 payment upon registration.
