Reid Caplan (they/them) is the founder of Accessible Academia (Accessibleacademia.org), which aims to center the voices of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in the research that impacts their lives. They serve as an advisor and collaborator on numerous participatory action-based, cognitively accessible research projects that promote community inclusion for all disabled people. They received their Master’s in Social Policy at the Heller School at Brandeis University, and previously served as the Associate Director of Advocacy and Development for the Autistic Self Advocacy Network, a disability rights nonprofit by and for autistic people.
