Content:

This workshop will provide an overview of the 4 modules of the ADOS as well as some information about the new module for toddlers. There will be live demonstrations of two of the modules followed by an opportunity to practice and discuss the scoring criteria. The clinical use of the ADOS will also be discussed. The participants will be given DVDs of our administration of two modules of the ADOS in advance of the workshop. Prior to the workshop the participants should review the manual and the DVDs and have completed a practice administration of one of the modules. Participants are responsible for acquiring their own copy of the manual and score sheets for practice.

Objectives:

* To develop familiarity with the ADOS as a diagnostic tool. * To learn about the semi-standardized administration of the ADOS. * To practice scoring the ADOS based on a live demonstration. * Description of how ADOS results are interpreted and reported.

Continuing Education Credits:

We will provide each participant attending all sessions a certificate that they can use to get CEUs from their own host school system.

Selection:

A limited number of slots are available, so participation is based on a first come, first served basis. Final deadline for receipt of application and fee is September 15, 2010 . Notification of acceptance, demonstration DVDs, and a detailed map will be sent as soon as possible upon receipt of the application and fee. Applicants must have their own copy of the ADOS testing book and materials. Due to limited space, receipt of application after September 15 does not guarantee acceptance.
