Content:

The Psycho-educational Profile-3rd Edition is the revised edition of the widely recognized assessment tool used to identify the learning strengths and weaknesses of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) from 6 months to 7 years of age. Developed by Division TEACCH clinicians, this instrument has been updated in several significant ways, including improved psychometric properties, revised function domains, new items and subtests, within-group comparison data, and the addition of key documentation. In addition, the test allows opportunities to observe and score behaviors associated with a diagnosis of autism. A key feature of the PEP-3 is its value in translating assessment information into individualized teaching goals and strategies.

Objectives:

This workshop will include information on:

• How to administer, score, and interpret the PEP-3
• Tips and strategies for assessing young children with autism
• How to use the PEP-3 to identify appropriate educational and developmental programming goals
• How to use structure and visual supports to develop appropriate teaching tasks for young children with autism

Continuing Education Credits:

CEU's will not be offered at this workshop; however a Certificate of Completion, including contact hours, will be available at the conclusion of the workshop.
