TEACCH Autism Program provides clinical services that are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their family. Services available at Fayetteville TEACCH include diagnostic evaluations to determine whether or not an individual has ASD. Adult social group for individuals with ASD is offered as a support service. Fayetteville TEACCH also offers consultation services to schools serving individuals with ASD.
- DIAGNOSTIC EVALUATION
Fayetteville TEACCH provides diagnostic evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults who are thought to have an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Evaluations typically last 1 to 1 ½ days, (depending upon complexity of the case and services provided) at the clinic and focus on issues of diagnosis and educational programming and intervention. The evaluation includes caregiver interview and testing sessions with the individual including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule - 2nd edition (ADOS-2) and other standardized measures. Evaluation results are shared with caregivers. Parents of an adult coming to TEACCH for an evaluation are welcome to attend the interpretive conference at the invitation of their adult child. An individualized, written evaluation summary with comprehensive recommendations and resources is provided.
If you would like to begin the process for an evaluation, please contact 919-966-8180.
