This two-day workshop will provide participants with practical strategies utilizing Structured Teaching methods designed for managing challenging behaviors in preschool thorough high school-aged individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).  Structured Teaching is based on understanding the learning style of individuals who have ASD and the use of visual supports to promote meaning and independence.  The primary focus of the training will be on understanding the purpose of challenging behaviors and implementing antecedent based interventions to prevent behaviors.  Strategies to address co-morbid conditions will also be discussed.  The workshop will include presentations, interactive discussions and small group activities.
