Interventions for Children Birth to 5 Years of Age

EARLY INTERVENTION IN-HOME SESSIONS

Home TEACCHing Sessions are home-based services targeting children under 3 and their families. A TEACCH® therapist schedules a series of in-home sessions to work with both the child and a parent. Sessions are time limited (typically a maximum of 8-12 sessions). The goals and activities of these sessions are highly individualized to each child’s developmental needs, and are developed and implemented collaboratively between the therapist and the family.

INDIVIDUAL PARENT-CHILD TEACHING SESSIONS

These sessions are available to parents of children with autism ages 3-5 (and under 3 who are not able to be served by In-Home Early Intervention program). They provide an opportunity for parents to learn ways of teaching their child at home and to help deal with behavior problems, self-help and other skills including communication and social skills. Sessions are time-limited and scheduled once a week, typically for 4-6 sessions.

Sessions are time limited.
