Supported Employment
The TEACCH Supported Employment program currently serves adolescents and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the Chapel Hill and Greensboro TEACCH Centers. The Supported Employment Program helps individuals with ASD to become as independent as possible by assisting them in obtaining and maintaining meaningful and stable employment in predictable and rewarding work environments. Since its inception in 1989, this program has used a variety of job support models to assist more than 500 people with ASD to secure gainful employment and to become productive members in their communities. Different services are offered by these two regional Supported Employment Programs. Contact the program in your region to get more information about the availability of services.
